MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo Men's Cross Country's Zak Ferguson and Women's Golf's Francesca De Roover have been named Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of September 15^th.
 
Zak Ferguson (Men's Cross Country) 
Freshman Zak Ferguson, from Sheffield, UK, led the Falcons to a fourth-place team finish with a great individual performance at the Falcons second meet of the season. Ferguson took home his first individual title of the year, winning the race with a time of 24:56.08, which is the second fastest 8K time in program history. His dominant effort secured crucial points for Montevallo and set the tone for the 2025 cross country season. 

Francesca De Roover (Women's Golf) 
Francesca De Roover, a senior from Brussels, Belgium, captured her first career individual title at the Montevallo Invitational. De Roover finished with a three-round total of 223 (+10) after posting rounds of 76 (+5), 76 (+5), and 71 (E). Tied for the lead at the end of regulation, De Roover clinched the victory in a one-hole playoff with a par on the 18^th hole. Her performance included five birdies across the tournament and helped pace the Falcons in their home event.
