The Gulf South Conference announced the 2025 Men's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Tuesday, with Montevallo picked to finish eighth.

Montevallo collects 35 points in the voting, placing them eighth in the poll. The ranking matches their preseason prediction from 2024. 

Defending champions Lee claimed the top spot once again with 99 points, followed by The University of Alabama Huntsville with 92 points and Mississippi College with 82 to round out the top three. 

In 2024, the Falcons were picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll and went on to place ninth at the GSC Championships with 224 points. They also qualified for the NCAA South Region Championships, where they placed 12^th overall, finishing as the seventh best GSC team at the meet. 

The Falcons open the 2025 season on the road at the UNA Invitational on Friday, Sept. 5.
