BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has named its Women's Soccer Players of the Week with Montevallo's
Morgan Goehring and
Ayla Ertekin earning the weekly honor.

Goehring earned the GSC's Player of the Week after totaling eight points on three goals and two assists in a 2-0 start to conference play. In a 1-0 win over Auburn Montgomery on Sept. 17, the junior scored the game winner on five shots with a pair on target in 81 minutes of action. Goehring followed with a six-point performance in a 4-0 win over Valdosta State where the Yorba Linda, Ca. native accounted for every UM goal with a pair of goals herself while adding a pair of assists in 78 minutes on the pitch.
Ertekin's first career GSC Freshman of the Week award after scoring her first career goal during the Falcons' start to conference play. In a win over AUM, the freshman fired three shots with one on frame in 74 minutes on the field. In the Falcons' win over Valdosta State, Ertekin tallied her first collegiate goal on a single shot in 79 minutes of action.
Goehring and Ertekin will return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 24 against West Alabama at 7 p.m.
