MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference has announced its Women's Soccer Weekly Awards with Montevallo's
Ciara Duff and
Ayla Ertekin earning the conference honor.

Duff's first career Goalkeeper of the Week award featured a pair of shutout victories for the junior as the Falcons moved to 4-0 to start conference play. The Edinburgh, Scottland native started the week with a clean sheet against West Alabama on Sept. 24 with 90 minutes in goal and just two shots faced in the 1-0 win over the Tigers. She then went on to add her fourth clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 win over Alabama Huntsville on Sept. 27 with a pair of saves on eight shots faced. Duff is now ranked second in the GSC with four shutouts on the season and leads the league with a 0.00 goals against average.
Ertekin earned her second-consecutive Freshman of the Week honor highlighted the freshman's second career goal with eight total shots and two shots on goal in 125 minutes across two games. In the Falcons' win over West Alabama, the freshman fired three shots in her 68 minutes on the pitch. The Anchorage, Alaska native then scored the game-winning goal against Alabama Huntsville on Sept. 27 with five shots and two on frame in her 57 minutes of action. Ertekin now ranks T-4
th in the GSC with a pair of goals on the season.
Duff and Ertekin head back out on the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 1 for Montevallo's Senior Day celebration against Christian Brothers at 5 p.m.
