MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer is set to host Christian Brothers and Union on Oct. 1 and 4, respectively, with a pair of special events attached to each game.

Montevallo's week opens with the Falcons' annual Senior Day Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 1 against Christian Brothers at 5 p.m. before hosting Union on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. for the annual Sea of Purple contest.
The Falcons enter the third week of conference play with a 5-2 overall record and a 4-0 Gulf South Conference record to sit atop the league standings. Montevallo's GSC mark opened with a pair of shutout wins over Auburn Montgomery and Valdosta State on the road on Sept. 17 and 20, respectively. Montevallo then went on to add a 1-0 win over West Alabama off
Lainey Farabaugh's game winner on Sept. 24 before topping Alabama Huntsville, 2-0, on Sept. 27 behind goals from Farabaugh and
Ayla Ertekin. Through seven games, the Falcons have tallied 10 goals on an average of 17.0 shots per game and 6.85 shots on goal per game while allowing just five goals on 7.9 shots per game and 3.71 shots on goal per game. Individually,
Lainey Farabaugh and
Morgan Goehring lead the team with three goals each while Goehring adds three assists for a team-high nine points. In the net,
Ciara Duff leads the GSC with a 0.00 goals against average through four starts with a total of eight saves on 27 shots faced.
CBU heads into Wednesday's matchup with a 1-4-1 overall record and a 0-3 mark in conference play. The Lady Bucs opened the season with a 1-2-1 record in nonconference action with a 1-1 draw at Harding on Sept. 10 before taking a 3-0 win over Ouachita Baptist on Sept. 13. CBU opened conference play with a 1-0 loss to Union on Sept. 21 before falling to Mississippi College and Delta State in back-to-back games. Through six games, CBU has scored a total of five goals on 9.5 shots per game and 4.5 shots on goal per game while allowing 16 goals on 12.0 shots per game and 6.33 shots on goal per game. Individually, CBU has seen five different goal scorers with Elisa Cruzx leading the squad with a pair of assists. In goal, Kaylee Allen has played every minute so far this season with 16 goals allowed and a total of 21 saves on 72 shots faced.
Union's record ahead of its meeting with Montevallo is 2-1-3 overall with a 1-1-1 mark in conference play through six games. The Lady Bulldogs opened the season with a 1-0-2 mark in nonconference action with the lone win coming in the season opener against Carson Newman. Union's conference schedule opened with a 1-0 win over CBU before drawing with Delta State on Sept. 26. Most recently, UU fell to Mississippi College, 3-0, on Sept. 28. The Lady Bulldogs have tallied five goals on 14.8 shots per game with an average of 7.00 shots on goal per game while allowing just six goals on 14.2 shots per game and 6.83 shots on goal per game. Lucia Garcia leads the team with a total of three goals in five games played while Lucia Revuelto leads the team with a trio of assists for three points. In the net, three keepers have split time with Antia Lopez Rodriguez leading with 18 saves on 38 shots faced with just three goals allowed.
