MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo Acrobatics & Tumbling is set to open the 2026 season on Thursday, hosting No. 11 Saint Leo inside of Central State Bank Arena.
Montevallo finished its inaugural season with a 3-5 overall record, earning wins over Talladega (twice) and East Texas Baptist. The Falcons look forward to improving in its second season and first season in Conference Carolinas.
The Falcons were picked to finish fifth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll last month. Montevallo garnered 49 points in the poll, while Lander (75), Coker (68), and Mars Hill (64), earned the top-three spots in the ten-team league. The Falcons open the conference slate with contests against two of those teams, as the Falcons host Mars Hill on Feb. 14 and No. 14 Lander on Mar. 14.
Montevallo fields many returners from its inaugural team including senior leaders Payton Roach, Katlyn Smith, and Corrine Wilcox. Sophomore returners Lexie Cole, Rilyn McAllister, and Katie Quinn earned preseason honors, being named to the Conference Carolinas Players to Watch list.
The Falcons add multiple new faces, including freshman Taylor Spaeny, Alesandra Vega, Zoey Cooper, Lizzy Sims, Charlie Bett, and Alyssa Craig.
Montevallo also adds its lone 2025 senior, Mel Low, to its coaching staff ahead of the new season.
Action in Central State Bank Arena is set to start at 6:00 p.m. CST on Thursday.
