MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Falcons' women's lacrosse squad is set to host Young Harris on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. for Montevallo's first home game of the season.

Montevallo opened the season on the road at Newberry College on Jan. 30 where the Falcons fell 10-8. The Falcons bounced back with a dominant 18-4 win on the road over Shorter on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Through two games, Montevallo averages 13 goals per game while adding 4.5 assists per contest for an average of 17.5 points per game. Montevallo has fired a total of 58 shots on the season while adding 35 shots on goal for a .448 shot percentage and a .759 shots on goal percentage. Defensively, Montevallo has tallied an average of 23.0 ground balls per game while posting 9.5 caused turnovers per game with just 7.0 goals allowed per game. In the net, Montevallo has tallied a .622 save percentage while adding a total of 23 saves on 51 shots faced.
Ellery Shearer leads Montevallo's attack with seven points on the season on six goals and one assist while adding three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls.
Claire Withington ranks second on the squad with six points on five goals and an assist while picking up three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Bridget Quayle leads Montevallo with a total of four caused turnovers while posting six ground balls on the season. In the net,
Ashlei Piazza has posted a team-high 17 saves on 36 shots faced for a .607 save percentage with just 11 goals allowed through two games.
Young Harris opens its 2026 campaign on Saturday when the Mountain Lions make the trip to Montevallo, Ala. Young Harris was voted third in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll after finishing the 2025 season with an 11-7 overall record and a trip to the CC semifinals. A trio of Mountain Lions were named CC Players to Watch with Megan Magill, Riley Parker, and Mary Troyer named.
