LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association has named Montevallo faceoff specialist Brandon Shaffner has a member of the USILA Team of the Week.

In the Falcons' 12-8 win over No. 20 North Greenville on Saturday, Feb. 14, Shaffner posted a 13-for-18 mark in faceoffs for a .720 percent clip on the road. The Louisville, Ky. native added a total of 10 ground balls in Montevallo's third win over a ranked team in program history. Shaffner now holds a total mark of 46-for-65 on the season at the dot for a .708 mark on the season which ranks first in the Peach Belt Conference and sixth in the nation.
 
Shaffner and the Falcons are set to take on Mars Hill at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
