MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's lacrosse is set to host No. 6 Embry-Riddle and No. 11 Saint Leo to close a four-game home stand.

Montevallo heads into the weekend with a 1-3 overall record after opening the season on the road for a 10-8 loss at Newberry on Jan. 30. The Falcons then picked up an 18-4 win over Shorter on Feb. 7. Montevallo returned home for a 14-13 loss against Young Harris on Feb. 14 before falling to Emmanuel in overtime, 15-14, on Feb. 21.
Through four games, Montevallo averages 13.25 goals per game on an average of 27.5 shots and 21.5 shots on goal while adding 5.75 assists per game for 19.00 points. The Falcons pick up an average of 21.00 ground balls per game while posting 10.25 draw controls per outing. Defensively, Montevallo allows 10.75 goals per game while posting a .482 save percentage with an average of 10 saves per game. The Falcons have also tallied an average of 10.25 caused turnovers per game.
Claire Withington leads Montevallo with 14 points on a total of 11 goals and three assists while picking up five ground balls, three draw controls and forcing a pair of caused turnovers.
Ellery Shearer ranks second on the team with 13 points on 11 goals and two assists while adding five ground balls.
Mikaela Barbieri leads Montevallo with a total of seven assists on the season while adding one goal for eight points.
Bridget Quayle leads Montevallo with seven draw controls while adding six caused turnovers and eight ground balls.
No. 6 Embry-Riddle heads to Montevallo with a 2-0 record to start the season after topping No. 25 Alabama Huntsville, 11-7, on Feb. 7. ERAU then went on to take a 19-10 win over No. 21 Florida Tech on Feb. 21 to improve to 2-0 on the season.
The Eagles average 15.00 goals per game on an average of 26.5 shots and 23.0 shots on goal while adding 5.5 assists for 20.5 points per game. ERAU posts an average of 27.00 ground balls per game while adding 14.5 draw controls for a .580 draw percentage. On the defensive end, Embry-Riddle allows just 8.50 goals per game with a .553 save percentage while forcing an average of 7.5 caused turnovers per game.
Eliana Enners leads Embry-Riddle with a total of seven goals on the season with a 2-for-3 mark in free-position shots while adding seven ground balls and four draw controls. Callison Foreman leads the team with eight points on four goals and four assists while Ava Rogala has posted a total of 10 draw controls on the season. Abigail Ozgar leads the team with four caused turnovers. In the net, Ella-Rae Cox has posted a .553 save percentage with 21 saves on the season and just 17 goals allowed.
No. 11 Saint Leo heads into Sunday's matchup with a 3-1 overall record after falling to No. 12 Flagler, 18-11, on Feb. 7 to open the season. The Lions then picked up a 17-7 win over Colorado Mesa on Feb. 10 before topping Saint Michael's, 22-4, on Feb. 12. Most recently, SLU took down Rollins, 23-12, on Feb. 18.
Saint Leo has tallied 18.25 goals per game to start the season on a 32.75 shots per game average while adding 27.25 shots on goal. The Lions also average 7.00 assists per game for a total of 25.25 points while adding 12.00 ground balls per game and 18.25 draw controls. Defensively, Saint Leo allows 10.25 goals per game while recording an average of 6.75 caused turnovers per game.
Holly Hill leads Saint Leo's attack with 22 points on nine goals and a team-high 13 assists while Sophia Wood adds 14 points on 13 goals and one assist with adding 10 draw controls and seven ground balls. Jana Nuss ranks third on the squad with 11 goals while adding another three assists for a total of 14 points on the season. Isabella Gebinine leads the team with 25 draw controls while adding a pair of goals. In the goal, Jessica Harclerode has started all four games and has posted a .493 save percentage with 35 saves and just a 11.11 goals against average.
