MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo wrestling team is set to compete in the 2025-26 Super Region II Championships on Saturday, with national championship berths on the line. Session I is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. CT, with placement matches set for 3:00 p.m.
OFFICIAL SCHEDULE
The Falcons continued to receive votes in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association poll, while
Cole Hunt (125) remained in the top 10 at No. 9 nationally.
Max Stedeford (149) returned to the individual rankings at No. 15, giving Montevallo two nationally ranked wrestlers entering postseason competition. Hunt and Stedeford headline a group of five Falcons who earned All-Conference Carolinas honors, joined by
Willie Cox,
Kaden Brown, and
Carson Freeman.
Final brackets and seeding for Super Region II will be released later tonight ahead of Saturday's competition. The top three finishers in each weight class will earn bids to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

here. General admission is $15, while children 12 and under, students with a valid ID, and seniors 60 and over can purchase tickets for $10. Children six and under receive free admission.
SUPER REGIONAL NOTES
- The Falcons sent two wrestlers to nationals at last year's Super Region II Championships in Jake Chisolm (165) and Colt Brown (125).
- Montevallo is making its second trip to Greenwood for the Super Regionals after competing there during the Falcons' inaugural season.
