BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Montevallo Track and Field closed the indoor regular season at the UAB Invite on Saturday.
Alonzo Abara earned the highest place finish on the day, placing fourth in the Men's Pole Vault with a height of 4.35m.
Austin Abney also picked up a top-ten finish, placing ninth in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.38m. Jackson Allen led the way on the track, placing 15th in the 800m with a personal record time of 1:57.95. Wyatt Pugh led the way for the throwers placing 20th in the Weight Throw (13.50m – PR) and 22nd in the Shot Put (11.82m).
Five Falcon men set new personal records in Steven Posey (200m – 22.97), Jayvian Kendrick (200m – 24.67), Jackson Allen (800m – 1:57.95), Joshua Howard (3000m – 9:24.91), and Wyatt Pugh (Weight Throw – 13.50m).
Leah Dendy earned the highest place finish on the women's side, placing fifth in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.57m.
Saskia Rhind also captured a top-ten finish, placing seventh in the High Jump with a jump of 1.55m. Sarah Turner led the way on the track, placing 12th in the 800m with a time of 2:24.21. Cesleigh Martin led the way for the throwers, placing 12th in the Shot Put (11.77m), while also recording a distance of 13.16m in the Weight Throw.
Eight Falcon women set new personal records in Deserae Thomas (60m – 7.87), Destiny Betton (60m – 8.04), Hannah Poston (60m – 8.48), Natania Nasieku (60m Hurdles – 9.80), Ka'Mya Jackson (200m – 25.50), Hannah Poston (200m – 28.46), Sable George (One Mile – 5:34.10), and Deserae Thomas (Long Jump – 4.87m).
