NFCA/GoRout Division II Coaches Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its latest NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday, as Montevallo returned to the rankings at No. 25.

Montevallo holds an overall record of 20-5 and a 5-4 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons return to the poll after going 4-1 last week. Montevallo swept its midweek doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern, before picking up a 2-1 series victory at then-No. 25 UAH.

Taylor Rogers led the way for the Falcons at the plate through the five games, posting a .632 batting average, .789 slugging percentage, and .632 on-base percentage. She totaled 12 hits, three RBIs, one double, one triple, five stolen bases and six runs scored. Rogers strong week led her to being named GSC Player and Freshman of the Week earlier today.

Taylor Lloyd led the way in the circle, going 3-0 and allowing only two runs in 20 innings pitched. The senior finished the week with a solid 0.70 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

Montevallo returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at (RV) West Alabama.
