HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Montevallo Track and Field closes the regular season this weekend, competing at the UAH Rocket City Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Montevallo last saw action at the UWA Invitational, where the Falcons earned 21 individual podium finishes.
Saskia Rhind led the way for the Falcon women with a pair of top finishes in the Shot Put (11.14m) and Discus (38.30m). Ka'Mya Jackson led the way on the track, setting a new school record of 12.19 in the 100m. Jackson also placed second in the 200m with a time of 24.98. Khila Corrothers led the way for the jumps, placing second in the Long Jump (5.51m).
Jeremiah Fails led the way for the Falcon men, earning a pair of first place finishes in the 200m (21.52) and the 400m (48.57). Three other Falcon men earned first-place finishes, including Tyrone Reese (110m Hurdles – 15.01), Jamell Beatty (100m – 10.90), and Marquis Trainer (400m Hurdles – 59.56).
Action on Friday is set to start at Noon CST in Huntsville, Ala.
