MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team captured the No. 4 spot in the initial ranked version and second overall set of NCAA South Region rankings, announced on Wednesday.

Montevallo holds an overall record of 39-11 and a 20-10 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons earned its highest ranked win of the 2026 season last weekend, taking one of three from No. 7 AUM. The Falcons currently sit at No. 22 in the NFCA/GoRout Division II poll.

Montevallo closes the regular season this weekend, hosting No. 14 West Florida in a three-game series.
