LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 Team Academic Awards on Thursday, with Montevallo Volleyball earning the distinction for the 18th consecutive season. The Falcons' streak is the 10th-longest among NCAA Division II programs.

According to the AVCA, the Team Academic Award recognizes programs that maintain a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale). Montevallo was one of four Gulf South Conference institutions to receive the honor, joining Christian Brothers, West Alabama and Valdosta State.
