BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced the 2026 Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll this week, as Montevallo was voted to finish eighth.

The Falcons collected 42 points in the poll to pick up the eighth spot, two points behind No. 7-Christian Brothers.

Lee earned 98 points to take the top spot in the poll, while defending GSC Champion-Mississippi Christian (91), and UAH (84) rounded out the top three.

Montevallo finished ninth at the GSC Championships last season and made an appearance at the 2025 NCAA DII South Region Championships.

The Falcons open the 2026 season on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Memphis Twilight in Memphis, Tenn.
