MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Montevallo cross country opened the 2026 season with a trip to the Memphis Twilight Classic where Montevallo's women finished 15^th and the men's team placed 17^th.
 
Montevallo's women's team was led by Ava Taylor who finished 59^th with a time of 19:33.44 ahead of Adelin Glover whose debut race saw the freshman post a time of 19:58.64 for 80^th. Breanna Aultman posted UM's third-best time of 20:52.85 in the 5K race while Sable George and Emily Coltman finished with times of 21:04.27 and 21:05.50, respectively, to round out Montevallo's scoring places.
 
The Falcons' men's squad was led by Joshua Howard with a time of 21:44.85 while Estan Wrights finished with a mark of 22:20.77. Ryan Cox's race featured a 22:26.83 time for UM's third scoring position. Jackson Allen finished fourth for Montevallo with a time of 25:01.23 while John Brouillete finished with a mark of 25:28.85 to round out Montevallo's men's race.
