ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches on its way to a 9-0 sweep of Clark Atlanta in a non-conference match Feb. 20.
The Falcons improved to 3-1 with the victory.
Junior Niki Polcerova defeated Tori Pradier of Clark Atlanta 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 singles match. Junior Liucija Smaizyte swept the Panthers' Brionne Bachus 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match.
Junior Anais Robert topped Vanessa Jean-Baptiste of Clark Atlanta 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles match. Sophomore Allison Howell defeated the Panthers' Vonnick Boyogueno 7-6, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles match.
Senior Haley Highfield won the No. 5 singles match 6-3, 6-1 against Asia Boyd of Clark Atlanta. Sophomore Juanita Ossa defeated the Panthers' Avern Gumbs 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 6 singles match.
Polcerova and Robert defeated Boyogueno and Bachus 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles match. Howell and Highfield topped Pradier and Boyd 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles match.
Smaizyte and Ossa defeated Jean-Baptiste and Ivory Conley of Clark Atlanta 8-1 in the No. 3 doubles match.
The Falcons return to action Saturday, Feb. 22 when they host USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference match.
The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
