MORROW, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to host Clayton State University 6-3 in a Peach Belt Conference match March 28.
The Falcons (5-7 overall, 2-6 in Peach Belt Conference) won two singles' matches and one doubles' match against the Lakers.
Senior Anais Robert topped Kristiin Mets of Clayton State 6-4, 0-6, 10-5 in the No. 4 singles' match. Junior Juanita Ossa led the Lakers' Maria Mendes 3-0 when her opponent retired from the match.
Junior Allison Howell and freshman Grace-Laura Rowe recorded the Falcons' lone win in doubles' action with a 8-3 win over Mendes and Mets in the No. 2 doubles' match.
Montevallo will return to action Sunday, March 29 with a non-conference match against Stillman College.
First serve is set for 1 p.m.
