MORROW, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to nationally-ranked Armstrong State University 9-0 in a Peach Belt Conference match on a neutral court on the Clayton State University campus.
The Pirates are ranked No. 4 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II national poll and are ranked No. 1 in the Southeast Region.
Freshman Lauren Pero dropped the No. 6 match 6-2, 6-1.
Senior Allison Howell, along with freshmen Alina Munteanu and Rayne Sinclair also won sets in their singles' matches.
The Falcons will return to action Tuesday, March 29 with a non-conference match on the road at Converse College.
