YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell on the road at Young Harris College 7-2 in a Peach Belt Conference match April 9.
The Falcons (12-8 overall, 1-8 in Peach Belt Conference) won one singles' match and one doubles' match against the Mountain Lions.
Freshman Lauren Pero defeated Kadie Hudgins of Young Harris 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) in the No. 6 singles' match.
Freshmen Alina Munteanu and Rayne Sinclair topped the Mountain Lions' Hudgins and Carolina Hernandez 8-5 in the No. 3 doubles' match.
The Falcons will return to action Sunday, April 10 with a Peach Belt Conference match on the road at the University of North Georgia. First serve is set for 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central.
