Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team swept King University 9-0 in a non-conference match.
Eight different players competed in the match and the Falcons only dropped one game in singles' action.

Adam Albertsen. "The team has worked very hard and we are very excited for spring."

Alina Munteanu, who is ranked No. 34 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II national rankings, swept Vanessa Francois of King 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles' match.

Emily Beatty swept the Tornadoes' Thalia Roustand Ruiz 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles' match, while freshman
Bhargavi Kalaga topped Jennifer Harr of King 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles' match.

Maria Garcia defeated the Tornadoes' Isla Bell 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles' match. Sophomore

Allie Whitley won the No. 5 singles' match and No. 6 singles' match by default, respectively.

Alice Copland and Gautreaux teamed up to defeat Francois and Harr 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles' match. Junior
Rayne Sinclair and Whitley topped Bell and Roustand Ruiz 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles' match.
Munteanu and Beatty won the No. 3 doubles' match by default.
The Falcons have completed the fall portion of their schedule. Montevallo will return to action Friday, Feb. 2 in its spring opener against Tuskegee University at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Alabama.
