Box Score MELBOURNE, Fla. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to regional opponent Florida Tech 5-2 in a non-conference match March 24.

The Falcons fell to 6-6 overall on the season.

Senior Emily Beatty defeated Maria Escude Paricio of Florida Tech 7-6, 2-6, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles' match. Freshman Whitney Hamilton won the No. 6 singles' match by default.

Senior Rayne Sinclair and junior Amanda Gautreaux won the No. 3 doubles' match by default, but the Falcons dropped the doubles' point.

Montevallo will return to action Tuesday, March 26 with a Gulf South Conference match on the road at Valdosta State University.
