MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to visiting Lee University 4-3 in a Gulf South Conference match April 14.

The Falcons fell to 7-9 overall and 4-4 in conference play.

Senior Emily Beatty defeated Asia Grzegrzolka of Lee 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles' match.

Junior Amanda Gautreaux topped the Flames' Lisa Kirr 7-6, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles' match.

Senior Lauren Pero defeated Laura Beth Hardesty of Lee 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 6 singles' match.

Lee claimed the remaining singles' matches and all three doubles' matches.

Montevallo will return to action Saturday, April 20 with a Gulf South Conference match on the road at Mississippi College.
