Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team took a 6-1 win over conference opponent Shorter University, on Thursday.
At doubles, all the matches went to the Falcons.
Eva Dirr and
Cyba Ozzor win at #1 6-4.
Victoria Rauscher and
Courtney Piltaver won easily at #2 6-2.
Mireia Turro and
Whitney Hamilton rounded out the success in doubles with a win at #3 6-1.
At singles,
Mireia Turro won quickly at #1 6-0 6-4.
Cyba Ozzor lost at #2 6-2 6-1 which was the only point for the Hawks.
Eva Dirr won swiftly at #3 6-1 6-1.
Victoria Rauscher added yet another point to the Falcons winning 6-1 6-2 at #4.
Courtney Piltaver swept her opponent at #5 where she won 6-1, 6-0. In her first match of the season,
Whitney Hamilton won at #6 6-4 6-0.
This win moved the Falcons to 4-9 (2-5) on the season.
