OMAHA, Neb. – University of Montevallo Volleyball fifth-year senior Sav Roys has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Demonstrator Scholarship, announced Wednesday.
 
Roys will join 29 other recipients across the country and all collegiate divisions at the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association Convention to serve as demonstrators for the on-court educational sessions.
 
Roys joins AUM's Dariona Dash as the only GSC student-athletes to earn the scholarship and is one of only nine Division-II athletes among the 30.
 
This year's convention will be held Dec. 14-17 in Omaha, Neb. and will feature over 100 education sessions with thousands of volleyball coaches expected to be in attendance. For more information visit http://avcaconvention.org
 
Roys currently leads the Falcons with 534 assists on the season and is just 58 away from reaching the 3,000-career assists milestone.
