Angelina Rivas and men's swim's
Janek Barczyk have been named Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of Oct. 30.
Angelina Rivas (Women's Soccer)
Sophomore forward
Angelina Rivas's two goals against Mississippi College, including the game winner, helped lead the Falcons to a huge conference win, cementing UM as the four seed in the conference tournament. The game-winning goal for Rivas was in the 47
th minute, assisted by
Bailey Raphelt. Her second goal was in the 61
st minute, with an assist by
Madeline Milby. Rivas had four shots against MC, all being on goal, and four shots against Delta State.
Janek Barczyk (Men's Soccer)
Freshman sprinter
Janek Barczyk helped lead the Falcons to a second-place finish at the Sewanee Invitational. Barczyk had seven personal bests, including three first place finishes, in the 50 yard free, 50 yard breast, and 100 yard breast, with times of 21.21, 26.12, and 57.72 respectively. He also added a third-place finish in the 100 yard free and a sixth-place finish in the 50 yard fly.
