GREENWOOD, Ind. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team saw
Macy Martin,
Allie Dishman and
Kamble Frenette named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Women's Volleyball Academic All-District team.

Martin, a senior from Houston, Texas, was named to the All-District team after a season where she had 255 kills with a .149 hit percentage. Macy added 21 service aces, 223 digs, 27 total blocks and 290 total points. Academically, Martin posted a 3.689 cumulative GPA in her speech pathology courses. Martin was also named to the All-District team last season.
Dishman, a senior from Carrollton, Georgia earned the honor for the second time in her career as she posted a 4.0 GPA in her biology courses. Allie led the Falcons with 277 kills and a hit percentage of .316. She totaled 80 digs, 75 total blocks and had 38 service aces which led the Falcons.
Frenette, a junior from Spanish Fort, Alabama, was named to the All-District team after posting 181 kills on a career-high .150 hitting percentage. Kamble had 13 service aces, 130 digs, a career-high 45 total blocks and 217.5 points. Academically, Frenette posted a 3.845 GPA in her psychology and sociology course.
For consideration for the CSC Academic All-District teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically while posting a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while competing in at least 90 percent of the team's contests or start in at least 66 percent of the team's contests. Eligible nominees are immediately entered in the CSC Academic All-America voting with the All-America team set to be released on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
