BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its fifth set of men's soccer weekly awards on Tuesday morning, with Andre Etcheverry being named GSC Goalkeeper of the Week.

Etcheverry picks up weekly honors for the first time in his career and he is the second Falcon to garner weekly awards this season.

The Parish, Fla., native had a solid week, allowing only one goal through two games and tallying 12 saves (.923 save percentage), as the Falcons picked up four points to remain unbeaten in conference play. Etcheverry opened the week with five saves and one goal against in a 1-1 draw at UAH on Friday. He followed that up with a crucial clean sheet and seven saves in a 1-0 win over West Alabama on Sunday. The junior played all 180 minutes in goal this past week and has played every minute throughout the entire season.

Etcheverry and the Falcons return to action on Friday, Oct. 10, as Montevallo hosts Spring Hill.
