Greene, Wind Earn All-GSC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A pair of Montevallo volleyball student-athletes earned spots on the 2025 Gulf South Conference All-Conference teams, the league announced Tuesday. Senior middle blocker Danielle Greene landed on the All-GSC First Team, while sophomore libero Ava Wind was named to the Second Team.

Greene earns the First Team nod after serving as a driving force in the Falcons' lineup throughout her senior campaign, starting all 30 matches. The Montgomery, Ala., native led UM with 274 kills and 160.0 blocks, a total that ranks second nationally and sits just two shy of the program's NCAA-era single-season record. She hit .314 on the year while also adding 51 digs. Greene posted three double-digit block performances, including tying the single-match program record with five solo blocks against Mississippi College on Sept. 30. She also reached a career milestone during 2025, recording her 500th career kill in a Senior Night win over UAH.

Wind secured her first All-Conference selection after anchoring the back row with a team-high 559 digs, the third-highest total in the GSC. The second-year Falcon recorded 12 matches with 20-plus digs, highlighted by a career-best 32 at Christian Brothers on Nov. 7. Wind reached a major milestone in the Falcons' Nov. 8 sweep of Union, collecting her 1,000th career dig. The Leander, Texas, product added to her impact offensively as well, finishing the season with 86 assists and 25 service aces.
