BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time in his young career, Devon McKinnon has been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week.

In a 2-0 week for Montevallo on the hardwood, McKinnon averaged 14.0 points per game on a 37.0-percent shooting mark while adding an average of 4.0 rebounds per game and 1.5 assists per game. In a win over Delta State, the Clay, Ala. native scored 13 points on 4-of-14 shooting and 2-of-8 from deep while recording four rebounds in 35 minutes on the floor. He followed with a 15-point performance on 6-of-13 shooting and 3-for-9 from long range while adding four rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes of Montevallo's win over Mississippi College.
 
McKinnon and the rest of the Falcons head out on the road to take on Christian Brothers on Thursday, Dec. 18.
