MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo softball team is set to face the Lee Lady Flames in a three-game series on the road this weekend.
So Far This Season…
Montevallo holds an overall record of 17-18 and a 7-11 mark in GSC play.
The Falcons opened the season, splitting a pair of games against ranked opponents at the Gulf Shores Invitational, defeating No. 24 Oklahoma Christian (3-2) and falling to No. 9 Rogers State. Montevallo posted a 3-2 record at the Chillout, as the Falcons earned wins over Kentucky Wesleyan (4-0), Shorter (4-3), and Young Harris (9-7), before falling to Georgia Southwestern and Lincoln Memorial. The Falcons opened conference play with a 2-1 series victory at West Florida. The next week the Falcons split a midweek doubleheader with Spring Hill, before dropping the weekend series with Mississippi College (2-1). Montevallo then split its midweek doubleheader with Columbus State, before dropping three games to No. 12 Trevecca Nazarene on the weekend. The Falcons followed that up dropping a pair of midweek games at Georgia Southwestern, before falling in the weekend series to Alabama Huntsville (2-1). Montevallo went on to sweep No. 24 West Alabama at home, winning all three games in walk-off fashion.
The Falcons have defeated Miles four times in the past two weeks, while dropping three games to Valdosta State last weekend.
Bentlee Stiner hit three home runs against Miles on Wednesday, which ties for the most home runs hit in a single game in program history.
On the season,
Ariana Pinder posts the highest batting average (.351) and
Riley Tyree has a team leading 33 hits.
Molly Pendley leads the team in home runs (six) and slugging percentage (.590), while sharing a team high-21 RBIs with
Becca Benton.
Taylor Lloyd has seen the most time in the circle, pitching 103.2 innings total this season. Lloyd has recorded wins and 81 strikeouts, while posting a 3.16 ERA.
Berkley Mooney has recorded three wins on the year and posts a 3.16 ERA in 37.2 innings.

The Flames have been strong in non-conference play, going 13-3 which includes series wins over Emmanuel (2-1), Carson-Newman (2-0), Cedarville (3-0), Shorter (2-0), and King (2-0).
The Lady Flames opened conference play dropping a pair of games at Delta State, before rebounding with a 2-1 series win over Alabama Huntsville. Lee fell its next series, dropping all three games to No. 5 Auburn Montgomery. The Lady Flames responded with a 2-1 series victory over Union. Lee has dropped its last two GSC series, falling in all three games to Mississippi College, before dropping a series to Christian Brothers 2-1.
On the season, Ana Macha leads the time in batting average (.443) and hits (51). Rylie Goodrige and Javaria Smith share a team leading-25 RBIs, while Ava Perkins leads the team with five home runs.
Natalie Pruitt Geesey has seen the most time in the circle, pitching 99 innings total. Pruitt Geesey holds a 12-4 record and posts a 3.39 ERA. Madison Barnett (4-6) posts a 4.51 ERA in 63.2 innings pitched.
