Dual Two: No. 19 King (W, 18-16)
With a spot in the Conference Carolinas Championship on the line, Montevallo opened strong as Cole Hunt pinned Roberto Garcia in 2:12. King responded with wins at 133 and 141 pounds, but Max Stedeford earned a key 4-2 decision over No. 7 Brennan Watkins, his third ranked win of the season, followed by Carson Freeman's 4-2 victory at 157 pounds, putting the Falcons ahead 12-6.
After King took a 13-12 lead, Jeffery Tubbs delivered a hard-fought 4-1 sudden victory over Luke Justice to regain the advantage. King reclaimed the lead at 197 pounds, setting the stage for a decisive heavyweight bout. In overtime, Willie Cox secured the win over Nathan Coley, giving Montevallo an 18-16 road victory, the program's first dual win over a ranked opponent in history.
With the victory, the Falcons notched their 10th dual win of the season, achieving double-digit wins for the first time in program history.
