MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's tennis teams continue their February schedule on Thursday afternoon with a road trip south to face Mobile. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
Both Falcon squads opened the season in strong fashion last weekend. The Montevallo women secured a 6-1 victory over Christian Brothers, while the men battled to a 4-3 win in a tightly contested match. Sophia Baillos, Anna Nevada Henriksen, Latizia Bojara, and Ella De Jesus each collected two wins on the day, and Christian Bacher and Leonidas Lazarides also swept their singles and doubles matches to help power the Falcons to victory.
Mobile's men enter the matchup with a 1-2 record and are coming off a 7-0 win over Belhaven on Saturday. The Rams' women hold a 1-3 mark and also posted a dominant 7-0 victory over Belhaven over the weekend.
MATCH NOTES
- The Falcons' men will face the Rams for the first time in program history.
- The Montevallo women are 1-2 all-time against Mobile, including a 6-3 win in the inaugural meeting between the two programs in 2009.
