MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The No. 20 Montevallo softball team is set to host Lee in a three-game series this weekend. 

Montevallo enters the weekend with a 27-6 overall record and a 10-5 mark in Gulf South Conference play. After taking three games from Valdosta State this past weekend, the Falcons swept a doubleheader at Columbus State on Tuesday. Five Falcons combined for six home runs, while Taylor Lloyd and Kinsley Byrd earned wins in the circle against the Cougars. 

On the season, Taylor Rogers leads the entire GSC in hits (44) and stolen bases (30), while ranking fourth in batting average (.427). Becca Benton leads the league in home runs (12) and RBIs (36), while ranking second in slugging percentage (.792). Makayla Peters has a team leading 18 walks (second in GSC).

Taylor Lloyd has been solid in the circle, leading the GSC in wins (18), strikeouts (114), complete games (16), and innings pitched (131.2), while ranking second in ERA (1.70). Kinsley Byrd (5-3) posts a 2.71 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 54.1 innings of action. 

Lee enters the weekend with a 13-22 overall record and a 6-9 mark in GSC play. Last time out, the Lady Flames swept Christian Brothers at home. 

Eva Armstrong leads the Lady Flames at the plate with a .364 batting average and 39 hits, while Addi Lewis holds a team leading 32 RBIs and Alyson Jarvi has a team leading eight home runs. Kaylee Underwood (4-8) has seen the most time in the circle, holding a 5.40 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 71.1 innings of action, while Layne Bailey (2-5) has a 4.38 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 64 innings. 

First pitch at Softball Stadium at Orr Park is set for 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday.
