LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its latest NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday, as Montevallo was tabbed No. 20.

Montevallo holds an overall record of 38-9 and a 19-8 mark in Gulf South Conference play. The Falcons earned 110 points to earn the No. 20 spot. Montevallo went 3-2 last week, picking up a pair of wins at Spring Hill, before dropping two-of-three at Union.  

Taylor Rogers leads the way at the plate for Montevallo with a .388 batting average and 57 hits. Taylor Lloyd has been solid in the circle all season and is tied for a GSC leading 23 wins, while posting a 1.62 ERA and 143 strikeouts.

Two others GSC teams were mentioned in this week's poll including No. 7 AUM and No. 14 West Florida, while West Alabama received 14 votes.

Montevallo is set to host a top-20 matchup this weekend, as the No. 20 Falcons welcome No. 7 AUM to Softball Stadium at Orr Park.
