BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Montevallo track and field teams earned five top ten finishes and ten personal records at the UAB Green and Gold Invite on Saturday.
The Men 4x400m Relay team consisting of
Dwight Bellamy, Julian Fore,
Walter Womack, and
Drew Cheslock earned the highest finish, placing fourth with a time of 3:20.68. Fore also earned an individual fifth place finish in the Men's 600m, placing fifth with a time of 1:21.18.
Emily Wolf placed eighth in the Women's Shot Put (13.12m) and
Sarah Turner finished tenth in the Women's 800m (2:23.28), and
Leah Dendy placed tenth in the Women's Pole Vault (3.43m).
Along with Fore, four other Montevallo men recorded personal records including
Chason Howard (23.32) in the 200m;
Parker Hicks (4:26.86) in the 1 Mile;
Aidan Baker (1.86m) in the High Jump; and
Preston Bennett (14.30m) in the Weight Throw.
Five Montevallo women recorded personal records including
Hallie Harrell (9.74) in the 60m Hurdles;
Libby Wright (1:04.57) in the 400m;
Lauren Dellezay (1:51.24) in the 600m;
Abby Snyder (5:34.60) in the 1 Mile; and
Brooke Ramsey (11:35.10) in the 3000m.
The Falcons return to action on Thursday, Feb. 20 for the GSC Indoor Championships.
