STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Montevallo track and field teams concluded the Mississippi State Bulldog Alumni Relays on Saturday, garnering ten top-ten finishes.
Zane Weeks earned the highest place finish for Montevallo in the field events, placing third overall in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 58.54m. On the women's side, two Falcons garnered top-ten finishes in the Javelin Throw, as
Elizabeth Hayhurst placed eighth with a distance of 39.31m and
Katie Wilkerson finished tenth with a distance of 37.94m.
Austin Abney also earned a top-ten finish, placing ninth overall in the Pole Vault with a height of 4.40m.
McKenna Jackson led the way for Montevallo in the Shot Put, placing 11
th with a distance of 11.17m.
Preston Bennett led the way on the men's side with a distance of 13.89m.
Hallie Harrell led the way for Montevallo in the Long Jump, placing 12
th with a jump of 5.12m, while
Caleb Kariuki led the way for men with a jump of 6.67m.
Josh Stidfole earned the highest place finish for Montevallo in running events, placing third overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:00.30.
Parker Hicks ran a 4:03.31 in the 1500m to place ninth.
A pair of Falcons earned top-ten finishes in the 400m Hurdles, as
Slate Rohrer placed sixth with a time of 55.42, and
Jacob Harper finished ninth with a time of 58.91.
The Men's 4x400m Relay team consisting of
Dwight Bellamy,
Julian Fore,
Walter Womack, and
Drew Cheslock combined to earn a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:17.65.
Fore also picked up an individual top-ten finish, placing sixth with a time of 1:54.93.
Hallie Harrell led the way for Montevallo in hurdles, placing 16
th with a time of 15.81 in the Women's 100m Hurdles.
Walter Womack posted a time of 10.92 in the Men's 110m Hurdles.
The Falcons are back in action in two weeks for the Troy Doc Anderson Invitational in Troy, Ala.
