MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo Men's Lacrosse's
Brandon Shaffner and Softball's
Bentlee Stiner have been named Montevallo Players of the Week presented by Jacks for the week of March 31st.
Brandon Shaffner (Men's Lacrosse)
Brandon Shaffner has set a new single-season ground ball record for the University of Montevallo Men's Lacrosse team. During the Falcons' 11-5 road win over Walsh on March 28th in North Canton, Ohio, as Shaffner collected his sixth ground ball of the game, he set a new school record with 115 ground balls for the season.
Bentlee Stiner (Softball)
Bentlee Stiner had a standout performance during the doubleheader sweep over Miles College in Gardendale, Alabama, on March 24th. In game one, Stiner hit two home runs, leading the Falcons to a 10-1 victory. In game two, she tied the program record for most home runs in a single game with three, finishing the day with a total of five home runs.
