FINAL RESULTS

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's track and field teams opened the season at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker on Saturday.

On the men's side, Slate Rohrer ran a 8.40 in the Men's 60m Finals to capture a fourth-place finish. Josh Stidfole, J'Brelin Cook, Parker Hicks, and Bill Archer had a solid day, earning a fifth-place finish in the Men's Distance Medley with time of 10:51.98. Dwight Bellamy, Walter Womack, Ja'lon Benson, and Jacob Harper captured a seventh-place finish in the Men's 4x400m with a time of 3:26.13. On the field, Corey Perkins placed ninth in the Men's Long Jump (6.74m).

On the women's side, UM took home the crown in the Women's Distance Medley, as Abby Snyder, Samantha Bennett, Sarah Turner, and Natalie Warner ran a 12:52.79 to secure the first-place finish. Warner and Turner had solid individual performances as well, with Warner running a 10:21.95 to finish sixth in the Women's 300m and Turner pacing a 3:04.99 to finish seventh in the Women's 1000m. On the field, Zauren Burton tied for fourth in the Women's High Jump with a height (1.60m).

The Falcons are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 11 for the UAB Blazer Invite.
