The 2007 University of Montevallo women's soccer team authored one of the greatest seasons in program history, setting a standard that would define Falcon soccer for years to come. Under the direction of Head Coach Trish Hughes and Assistant Coach Shigeyoshi Shinohara, the Falcons compiled a 15-8 overall record, establishing a program record for victories in a single season.
The season was highlighted by the first championship in program history, as Montevallo captured the Gulf South Conference Tournament title to earn the program's first-ever berth in the NCAA South Region Tournament. The Falcons continued their historic run by winning their first two NCAA Tournament matches, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 and the South Region final for the first time in school history.
Offensively, the 2007 squad set a program record with 60 goals, averaging nearly four goals per match. The championship team featured Bailey Robinson, Kami Kapaku, Natalie Martineau, Jo-Anne McCarthy, Lucrece Laverdure, Amber Hooper, Julie Gurak, Angela Buonassisi, Eric Duncan, Kristin Rosato, Brittany Correia, Alex Terhar, Paula Radmard, Erin Jollay, Catherine Honey, Morgan Brooks, Anderson Walls, and current University of Montevallo Athletics Hall of Famers Stacey Balaam, Adele Jackson, and Corey Gross. Jennifer Kramer served as the team's athletic trainer throughout the historic season.
