Marcus Kennedy was a member of the men’s basketball program at the University of Montevallo from 2003-2007. He was twice named a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II All-American during his playing career. He was twice named a first team All-Gulf South Conference selection and East Division Player of the Year and was also named the conference’s Player of the Decade. He helped the Falcons advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight twice, while also helping the team win three Gulf South Conference tournament championships and three East Division regular season titles. He finished his playing career as the Falcons’ all-time leader with 134 games played, 2,173 points scored, 841 made field goals and 458 made free throws. He also recorded the second most rebounds in program history with 970 career rebounds and second most steals in program history with 179 career steals.
