2005 University of Montevallo Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Courtney Adams was a member of the first intercollegiate women's soccer squad at Montevallo She was a four-year letterwinner and team captain for three years. She anchored the Lady Falcon defense as a sweeper, and assisted the Lady Falcons in posting three shutout victories in 1996, four shutout victories in 1997 and seven shutout victories in 1998. She was twice named to the All-Gulf South Conference Team, earning First Team honors in 1996 and again in 1997. She was named to the GSC All-Tournament teams in 1996 and 1998. Adams attended Shades Mountain Christian High School, where she was named team MVP her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Courtney was a 1998 graduate from UM and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Courtney currently resides in Hoover with her husband Chad and her children, and works as an accounting and administrative assistant with the ADCO companies.
