Paul Kellogg was the first University of Montevallo basketball player to gain national recognition.

Playing for the University of Montevallo from 1964 to 1966 he was a bona-fide star in the fledgling Falcon program. He led his 1964-65 team with a scoring average of 16.3 and improved his output the next year to lead the 1965-66 team with a scoring average of 17.7

He set Falcon records for "Most Points on a Two-Year Career" with 832 points and became a member of both the 300 and 400 point scoring clubs for the Falcons.

Kellogg was, in fact, so prolific that his 832 points in two years still qualifies him for top 10 in career scoring in the history of Montevallo basketball. As a senior, his teammates named his "Most Valuable Player" in the 1965-66 season.

Kellogg's all-around play and an exemplary example and high standards for all who follow him.
