Kristy Bohan Edmonds was a four-year member of the Montevallo volleyball team from 2014-17. During her time, the middle blocker earned numerous accolades and etched her name in the Montevallo record book. In her first season with the Falcons in 2014, the Huntsville, Alabama, native started all 33 matches and finished as the team leader in total blocks with 115 and solo blocks with 18. She also added 316 kills with a .266 attack percentage. As a sophomore, Bohan Edmonds took a big step forward and was named D2CCA All-Southeast Region, AVCA All-Southeast Region and an All-Peach Belt Conference selection. Once again, Bohan Edmonds started all 33 matches, but this time, she finished as the team leader in kills with 437, which ranks seventh in Montevallo's Division II record book. She also posted a .345 hit percentage, which is third in the record book, and again led the team in total blocks with 107 and solo blocks with 29. Bohan Edmonds continued to rewrite history during her junior season in 2016. She earned D2CCA All-Southeast Region and PBC All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year and was named both the D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year and PBC Player of the Year. In addition, she was named a D2CCA All-American, becoming the first Falcon in over 10 years to do so. She totaled a career-best 452 kills to lead Montevallo and the PBC while playing all 28 games. Bohan Edmonds also recorded a .335 hit percentage in 2016 to lead the PBC with 4.26 kills per set. For the third straight year, Bohan Edmonds led the team in total blocks with 115 and solo blocks with 24—both marks were conference bests. Bohan Edmonds played in all 28 matches to cap off her career and led Montevallo in kills for the third straight year with 305 as a senior. She notched a team-high 93 total blocks and 19 solo blocks to move into second place in Montevallo's Division II Record book for career blocks. In 2017, Bohan Edmonds was named to the All-GSC Second Team, marking her third straight All-Conference selection. Additionally, Bohan Edmonds represented Team USA in the European Global Challenge in the summer of 2017. She finished her career with 1,855.5 points, 1,510 kills, 429 total blocks, 90 solo blocks, 3.2 kills per set, 3.9 blocks per set, and a .317 hit percentage through 468 sets and 122 matches played. Bohan Edmonds’s name can be found throughout the record book as she is featured in the top 10 for six career categories, has five top-10 season marks and has 11 top-ten single-match records. She holds the single-match record in total blocks with 11. Bohan Edmonds, a psychology major, also earned several academic awards, including PBC Gold Scholar twice, PBC Silver Scholar, PBC All-Academic twice, GSC All-Academic, GSC Honor roll, three-time PBC honor roll, NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement award and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District. In all, she was named a two-time PBC First Team All-Conference, All-GSC Second Team, PBC Player of the Year, two-time D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team selection, D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year, D2CCA All-American and a two-time AVCA All-Southeast Region honoree. Â
