Hunter Chavarry compiled one of the most decorated careers in University of Montevallo athletics history during her time on the bricks from 2016-19. A standout for the women's track and field program, Chavarry captured four individual conference championships, including three consecutive heptathlon titles from 2016-18 across both the Peach Belt Conference and Gulf South Conference. In 2018, she added the conference championship in the 100-meter hurdles and became the first student-athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She finished 15th nationally in the heptathlon and was named the Gulf South Conference Athlete of the Year, while also earning USTFCCCA All-Region honors for the fourth consecutive season.

Chavarry's name is etched throughout the Montevallo record book. She owns every spot in the program's all-time top 10 for the 100-meter hurdles and 60-meter hurdles, holds the top seven performances in the heptathlon, the top five marks in the pentathlon, and two of the program's top 10 performances in the long jump.

Her success extended well beyond competition. Chavarry graduated in 2019 with a degree in Biochemistry and a 3.97 cumulative grade point average. She was recognized as the Senior Elite student in the Department of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science, received the Jan Eagles Award for the highest GPA among Montevallo's female student-athletes, and was a finalist for the prestigious Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship.
