Brendan Ledgeway was a goalkeeper for the UM men's soccer team for four years. During his time at Montevallo, Ledgeway established several season and career records that still stand today, including the lowest career goals against average (0.91), the longest scoreless streak in a season (529 minutes, 2011), most career shutouts (32) and most career wins in Falcon history (50).  He is also the leader in matches played by Montevallo goalkeepers (79 matches played) and fourth all time in matches played by a player at any position.  Ledgeway is also the leader in minutes played by UM goalkeepers (7344 min), third in most saves in a game (11 vs. Clayton State, 2012), third in fewest goals allowed in a season (13), and fourth in career saves (249). In 2013, Ledgeway's senior season, he was named Second Team Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region and Third Team NSCAA Division II All-Southeast Region.  In 2012, Ledgeway's junior year, he was named Daktronics NCAA Division II All-America Honorable Mention, Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year, First Team Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region, and First Team PBC All-Conference.  He was also named the UM athletic department's Neal Shirley Award winner as the top male student-athlete in the department.  After his sophomore season he earned Second Team All-Region by NSCAA, First Team All-PBC, was named PBC Goalkeeper of the Week three times, CS360 Division II Primetime Performer of the Week, and was tabbed to the PBC All-Tournament Team.  During his freshman year, Ledgeway earned Second Team PBC All-Conference and was named the UM Soccer Rookie of the Year.  The York, England native also excelled in the classroom and was named a Presidential Scholar on the PBC Honor Roll in 2010, as well as a two-time Bronze Scholar on the PBC Honor Roll in 2011 and 2013.
