Zachary Andrews was a member of the baseball program at the University of Montevallo from 2005-2008. He was named a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II All-American during his playing career. He helped the Falcons capture the Gulf South Conference East Division regular season championship as a sophomore and helped Montevallo finish runner-up in the conference tournament as a senior. He also helped the Falcons reach the NCAA Division II Tournament twice in his career, including an appearance in the World Series following his sophomore season. He was also named to the Gulf South Conference All-Academic team during his career with the Falcons. He finished his playing career as the Falcons’ all-time leader with 25 saves, 104 appearances and a .800 winning percentage. He also holds the single season record for most saves in a single season with 11 saves and most appearances in a single season with 32 appearances during his sophomore season.
