Agee Kelly is one of the main reasons Montevallo athletics have prospered and succeeded over the years. His work with the University through his position as Chairman of the Board of Merchants and Planters Bank and as Treasurer of the University of Montevallo Foundation has enabled him to promote Montevallo's unique blend of athletics and academics to locals and outsiders alike.

As a member of the Montevallo Industrial Board, he has constantly striven to upgrade the image and facility of Montevallo and has promoted the school and its athletic programs as a showplace for visiting dignitaries considering potential industrial expansion and development.

His numerous civic duties, including, President of the Montevallo Rotary Club, Board of Trustees-1st United Methodist Church of Montevallo and President of the Montevallo Golf Club, lend themselves to promoting the college and town of Montevallo to others. Kelly serves as an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and perseverance.

One of the most dedicated members of the Falcon Club since its inception, Agee Kelly was a major force behind the lighting at the University's Kermit A. Jonhson baseball field and was a major factor in the acquisition of the new athletic bus used to transport Montevallo athletes.

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Kelly served two years in the military and was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in1959. He is an avid golfer, sportsman and a constant source of support for the University of Montevallo.
