Troran Brown was a three-year member of the men's basketball team from 2012-15. The Phoenix, Arizona native led the conference with 19.6 points with 6.1 assists per game in 2014-15, ending his career with the all-time assists record for Montevallo and the Peach Belt, with 574. His 1,752 career points is the most scored by any three-year player at Montevallo and the fourth most overall. Brown earned several accolades during his playing career. In 2014-15, Brown's senior season, he was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year for the second time in his career. He was also named an NABC All-American, Basketball Times First Team All-American, Division II Bulletin Second Team All-American, Daktronics Third Team All-American, Conference Commissioners Association Third Team All-American the Daktronics Southeast Region Player of the Year and a NABC First-Team All-Southeast District selection. Brown's junior year earned him his first PBC Player of the Year award along with being named a NABC All-American, a First Team Daktronics All-Southeast Region, PBC All-Tournament Team, NCAA Southeast Regional All-Tournament team and PBC All-Conference. After his sophomore year, his first year as a Falcon, Brown was named First Team PBC All-Conference, Second Team NABC All Southeast Region, and Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region. Brown was named the University of Montevallo athletic department's Neal Shirley Award winner as the Male Student Athlete of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Brown went on to play professionally, overseas, after his career at Montevallo. He played for teams in Bosnia, Mexico, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Macedonia. Brown was selected to play on multiple All-Star teams including the 2017 Mongolian Super League All-Star Game.
